In the Bachinovo University Center at SWU "Neofi Rilski "-
Blagoevgrad hosted an International scientific conference" GLOBAL
ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL RISKS: NEW CHALLENGES AFTER COVID-19 ",
organized by the Laboratory for Econometric Research at the Faculty
of Economics.
30 researchers, lecturers and PhD-students from the Institute
for Economic Research in the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences - Sofia,
Academy of Economics "D.A. Tsenov "- Svishtov, University of
National and World Economy - Sofia, Alexander Giovanni University -
Elbasan, Albania, Regional University named K. Zhubanov from
Aktobe, Kazakhstan, North Macedonia, Albania, Greece.
Due to the complicated conditions for crossing borders, some of
the participants joined online and presented their scientific
reports.
The main topic - the effects of the crisis, caused
by the shutdown of national economies, named after the COVID-19
virus, was discussed in the context of its impact on capital
markets, the banking system, government debt, tourism, new methods
of managing emerging risks and minimizing of their effects.
The participants formulated the positive aspects of such a mixed
form of holding scientific forums and wished a speedy solution to
the effects of the crisis and the restoration of the economic and
financial systems.
The scientific issues will be published in the Journals of the
Faculty of Economics "Economics and Management", "Entrepreneurship"
and "Economics and Law", as well as in the specialized journal
"Finance", which are indexed in scientific databases in English. In
the original language of the authors, the papers will be included
in a scientific monograph.
The conference was provided with the financial support of the
Union of Scientists - Blagoevgrad and the Union of Economics
in Bulgaria.
