The education is performed by Faculty of Law and History.
Public Relations are modern professional activity. It assists
realization of active and beneficial dialogue which is a condition
for nonconflictual development of social relations. Public
relations activities are organic part of management in every
serious economic organization and institution in public sector.
The mission of Public Relations Department in
the Faculty of Law and History is preparation of PR specialists
which to ensure the success of cause, organizations, political
parties and social doctrine on the basis of public confidence; to
assist overcome information deficits; to maintain active social
relations and to assist positive identification of the employers'
organization through interaction with different groups and public
structures.
The main educational objectives are:
- preparation of specialists who will work in a wide range
of governmental structures, political, economic, journalistic
organizations and consulting activities related with the winning
and storage of public confidence;
- creating a skills for building positive social attitude towards
a specific idea, particular activity or organization and empathy
maintenance of target social groups;
- acquiring the competencies to research, plan, organize, manage
and control different campaigns and special events in real and in
online sphere;
- forming organizational culture, flexibility and adaptation in
the dynamic social sphere.
Professional realization of graduated students
is in:
- government administration;
- business organizations;
- cultural institutions;
- political parties and movements;
- nonprofit organizations;
- communication departments in EU institutions and bodies;
- PR and advertising agencies;
- Electronic and print media.
The curriculum of Public Relations bachelor program,
the organization of the education and its continuance, form and
content of every syllabus meets the requirements of Law on Higher
education in Republic of Bulgaria. The curriculum is thematically,
structurally and contently pursuant with the analogic European an
American educational models.
The educational and qualification degree "bachelor" ends with
written and oral state exam or developing and defense of diploma
thesis. Successfully graduated students receive the educational and
qualification degree "bachelor" with the professional qualification
"Public Relations". They acquire the right to continue education in
"master" degree and doctoral degree.
