The bachelor program Sports is specifically designed to meet the
students with the needed theoretical and practical knowledge, which
will allow them to lead training and competitive activities.
The disciplines in this program will make sure that students
will undergo a professional training and will guarantee their
realization as coaches, senior coaches and head coaches.
The professional right and qualification of the sports studying,
which allow students to lead trainings and competitive activities
in Bulgaria are regulated by the Bulgarian educational
requirements.
Academic standards for the programme
Sports
The professional training in Sports consists of:
General sciences - acquiring knowledge in pedagogics,
psychology, health and health care, IT, foreign language, and many
more studies
General training in medical and biological sciences - acquiring
knowledge in the area of anatomy, morphology, physiology,
biochemistry and many more.
Special theoretical training in the medical and biological
sciences - acquiring knowledge in the area of functional anatomy,
the physiological part of exercises, sports medicine and sports
hygiene, physiotherapy and more.
Special theoretical training in sports - includes training in
scientific basis of the sports training, theory and methods of the
sports training for every type of sport, diagnostics, selection and
forecasting in sports, biochemistry and physical exercises,
biomechanics and physical exercises, knowledge about methodology of
the scientific researches in sports, metrology and statistics,
sports psychology, sports sociology, sports management and
more.
Practical and methodical training: includes the preparation
methods of the sports training - common physical, special,
physical, technical, tactical, mental (self-control, will,
emotional stability, and more), social (establishing the needs of
achievement, self-affirmation in the team and on the track,
domination, leadership, the feeling of belonging to the team, team
spirit and more), methodical - planning and periodization of the
multiannual sports training; forming the main practical skills and
the manner of performing the technical components based on the type
of sport
Purpose of the programme Sports
The graduates from the programme Sports acquire the professional
qualification "Coach", which gives the graduates the opportunity to
practice their skills in variety of professions according to the
list of the National Classification of Occupations, representing
Annex 4 order No RD01-931/27.12.2010 with the changes in NCO-2011
already in force; there are 3422 6002 coaches, 3422 6004 senior
coaches, 3422 7011 head coaches
