The accreditation of this program is until 2022 .
The education is performed by Faculty of Engineering.
The aim of the Doctoral program in Machines and processes in the
light industry is to build on and enhance the knowledge and skills
acquired by students during their Bachelor's and Master's
programs.
The PhD students in the process of its training and research is
being prepared for:
- independent research in the field of manufacturing technologies
in the light industry (textile and / or sewing);
- Permanent enrichment and improvement of the theoretical and
practical knowledge with the contemporary achievements in the
field; implementing own research results;
- scientific and teaching work in the higher education
institutions in the disciplines of the specialty "Machines and
processes in light industry" and related;
- Managerial activity in production systems;
- expert activity and others.
Doctoral program training is carried out by the academic staff
of the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Technologies. There
are 9 professors working in the department, including 1 Professor,
4 Associate professors,1 PhD Assistants and 3
Assistants. The Department maintains close links with industry in
the region and related departments in other Universities in the
country and the Balkans.
The PhD students in all forms of the doctoral program perform a
program that includes the following activities:
- Scientific research activities to include participation in
development of scientific projects;
- Visits and participation in training courses (lectures,
seminars, tutorials, etc.);
- Teaching and expert activities and participation in scientific
forums at national and international levels;
- Exams provided in the individual curriculum plan;
- Defense of doctoral dissertation;
The training of doctoral students is carried by an individual
education plan drawn up by the doctoral student and the tutor,
approved by the Department Council and approved by the faculty
council. Individual curriculum plan is drawn up based on the
curriculum of the accredited by NEAA doctoral program. It
establishes the direction of doctoral program and are defined by
the activities to be carried out in the academic year.
The entire information related with the training in the doctoral
program is filed in the PhD student portfolio.
The disciplines in the individual curriculum plans are
compulsory, elective and extracurricular.
The PhD student acquires the right to defend a dissertation
after the completion of the educational activities, a successful
passing of exams as defined in the individual educational plan and
implementation of criteria and indicators, required to evaluate the
readiness to be awarded the educational and scientific degree of
Doctor.
