Department of Medico-Social Sciences offers a training program for PhD students in the scientific specialty of Organization and Management of Social Work.

The aim of the doctoral program is to prepare highly qualified specialists with good scientific potential, knowledge and research skills and competencies to contribute to the implementation of the latest research based guidelines and standards in the field of Social Work.

Educational and research highlights

1. Evaluation and implementation of current knowledge and research in the theory and practice of Social Work.

2. Understanding and management of complex ethical issues, dilemmas and conflicts.

3. Management of own work in a responsible manner and initiative for continuing professional development.

In the course of study and research doctoral student in the professional direction 3.4. Social Work will be prepared for:

• Independent research in the field of modern theoretical and practical context of Social Work;
• Research and teaching in higher education institutions, which undertake research and prepare professionals for Social Work;
• Management activities in the social sector in positions that require an appropriate level of professional qualification;
• Expert work in positions involving skills to solve research and practical problems in the state, non-governmental and private sector, etc.
