Objective

The master's program "Digital Finance /FINTECH/" meets the objective of provision of professionals for managerial functions in the fields of public and corporate finance; for various levels of the budgetary and financial systems of the Republic of Bulgaria; for the units of banking system and non-bank financial institutions as well as FinTech companies, the central bank, and financial structures of the European Union, government institutions that are responsible for accumulating, managing, and spending public funds.

Students successfully accomplished their master's training under "Digital Finance /FINTECH/" can occupy positions of:

• Financial Manager with adjunct specialized competence in the area of digital financial technologies;
• Expert in financial operations with crypto-currencies and block-chain technologies, peer-to-peer crediting, start-up financing, digital insurance, etc.;
• Expert in finance of budgetary organizations in digital context;
• Credit Inspector using digital technologies;
• Broker and Dealer working via digital platforms;
• Tax Inspector with deep knowledge for the use of block-chain technologies in taxation;
• Expert in insurance in digital environment;
• Expert in social security funds with using block-chain technologies;
• Customhouse's inspector using digital technologies;

Competences

Students have obtained master's diploma "Digital Finance /FINTECH/" are capable of taking managerial solutions in fast changing economic environment, formulating concepts and strategies for the development of financial sector in terms of digitalization of financial services having importance of key factor for efficiency and competitiveness of financial institutions.

The Master in Digital Finance is able to apply in integrated manner the general theoretical knowledge and the special knowledge in the fields of:

• Bank management and marketing, risk management with a special focus on the usage of block-chain technologies and crypto-currencies;
• Financial econometrics and financing entrepreneurship in digital environment;
• The policy and functions of a central bank in terms of transition towards mass using of e-money and crypto-currencies by financial institutions, commercial and central banks;
• Economics of public sector and the specifics of municipal finance in the context of using block-chain technologies and smart-contracts for a more efficient and fast collecting of public revenues as well as better transparency of the expenditure;
• International public finance, actual programmes and policies in the frames of the common digital financial area of the European Union.
