Bulgarian Language Course
for Erasmus students at SWU - I part (Survival
Bulgarian)
4 hours every week - 60
hours per semester, 6 ECTS
The course aims at providing basic knowledge on Bulgarian
language. It facilitates your easier adaptation in the new
linguistic and cultural environment. It has a purely pragmatic
focus. It emphasizes on creating and developing communication
skills in the most common language situations (introduction, store,
restaurant, hotel, street, airport, etc.). Students acquire
listening, reading and comprehension skills. At the end of the
course, elementary texts in Bulgarian and everyday communication
are mastered.
Bulgarian Language Course
for Erasmus students at SWU - II part (Advanced
Bulgarian)
8 hours per week - 120 hours
per semester, 12 ECTS
Students who study Bulgarian language as a first or second major
(or as a elective course) at their home institutions have the
opportunity to attend a practical Bulgarian language course for
advanced students. The aim of the course is to develop and improve
their language skills through the method of active communication
and simulation of real language situations. It expands and builds
on their knowledge of Bulgarian phonetics, morphology, syntax and
lexicology through pragmatic, language-oriented training. The
course contributes to improving their listening, comprehension,
speaking, reading and writing skills of more sophisticated texts in
Bulgarian as well as to maintain communication in different
language situations.
