Department of Physics is responsible for education in the following programs, accredited by the Bulgarian National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation:

 

Bachelor Programs (BSc)

• Physics
• Optical Technologies
• Pedagogy of Teaching Physics and Mathematics

Duration of study for full-time education: 4 years. BSc degree is a prerequisite for study at MSc program.

 

Master Programs (MSc)

• Modern Energy Sources and Environmental Protection
• Energy Management and Sustainable Energy Development
• Nuclear and Particle Physics

 

MSc degree is a prerequisite for study at PhD program.

 

PhD Programs

• Physics of Condensed Matter and Wave Processes
• Methodology of Physics Education

Duration of study: 3 years for full-time and 4 years for part-time study. MSc degree is requirement for applying for PhD program.

 

Continuing (Lifelong) Education

• Teacher of Physics

Period of study: 2 or 4 semesters. Continuing education may be organized simultaneously with the BSc or MSc education.
